Miss Guatemala 2012 was held in Guatmala City on 25 November 2011. 17 young ladies representing each department of Guatemala were competing for 3 main titles this year.

Miss Universo Guatemala 2012: Capital Guatemala, Laura Beatriz Godoy Calle, 23, 176cm. She will represent Guatemala in Miss Universe 2012.
Miss Mundo Guatemala: Quetzaltenango, Monique Georgette Aparicio, 21, 180cm She will represent her country in Miss World 2012.
Miss Internacional Guatemala: Departamento Guatemala, Christa García, 19, 170cm. She will compete at Miss International 2012.
Señorita Colombia 2011, the 77th National Beauty Contest, will be held in Cartagena de Indias, Bolívar, Colombia, on 14th November 2011. 26 young Colombian ladies from each department were competing for the title this year.

I like watching beauty pageants since I was 4, love watching Miss Universe, Miss World, Reina Sudamericana and all national pagaents in Central and South America.
In May 2005, I travelled to Thailand to watch the Miss Universe pageant. It was so exciting to watch the live show. I was so happy to meet my favourite contestants from Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Dominican Rep and Puerto Rico.
Latin powerhouses always send outstanding gorgeous candidates to the international pageants. When I was a child, I was infatuated with all those huge spectacular carnival latin costumes.
Many countries in Latin America pay respect to the beauty queens and they regard Beauty pageants as their National Pride.
