Miss Nicaragua 2013, the 31st edition national beauty contest, was held in Managua, Nicaragua, on 2 March 2013. 13 contestants were competing for the title this year. The winner will participate in Miss Universe 2013.
Miss Nicaragua Universo 2013 is Nastassja Isabella Bolívar Cifuentes, 24, 1.77m, representing Diriamba. Nastassja speaks Spanish, English and French. She was studying fashion merchandising at Miami International University of Art and Design.
In 2011, Nastassja won the contest Nuestra Belleza Latina 2011 on Univision.
Miss Nicaragua 2012 was held on 17 March 2012. 12 young ladies from different departments of Nicaragua were competing for the title. Farah Eslaquit, 20, 176cm, a university student, won the national title of Miss Nicaragua 2012. She will represent her country in the Miss Universe Pageant 2012.

12 ladies were competing for the national title this year
Miss Nicaragua 2011 was held at Teatro Nacional Rubén Darío in Managua, Nicaragua, on 26 February 2011. The winner is Adriana de Lourdes Dorn Rodríguez. She is 24-year-old postgraduate student in marketing management from Managua. Adriana stands 1.78m and will represent Nicaragua in the Miss Universe pageant 2011 in Brazil. 14 young beautiful ladies joined the contest this year.

Miss Nicaragua 2010 was crowned on 27 February 2010. The winner is 18-year-old student from Bluefields, Scharllete Allen Moses. Scharllete stands 180cm and is the first black woman to win the national title. She will represent her lovely Central American country in Miss Universe 2010.
I like watching beauty pageants since I was 4, love watching Miss Universe, Miss World, Reina Sudamericana and all national pagaents in Central and South America.
In May 2005, I travelled to Thailand to watch the Miss Universe pageant. It was so exciting to watch the live show. I was so happy to meet my favourite contestants from Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Dominican Rep and Puerto Rico.
Latin powerhouses always send outstanding gorgeous candidates to the international pageants. When I was a child, I was infatuated with all those huge spectacular carnival latin costumes.
Many countries in Latin America pay respect to the beauty queens and they regard Beauty pageants as their National Pride.
